In a bid to bridge Nigeria’s financial literacy gap and empower individuals to make smarter money decisions, Zedcrest Wealth has officially launched the Zedcrest Wealth Academy, a new digital learning platform hosted on its existing application.

The Academy, which was unveiled at a press conference in Lagos, aims to make financial education fun, accessible, and practical for users across all levels, ranging from beginners to seasoned investors.

Speaking at the launch, Adedayo Amzat, Group Managing Director (GMD) of Zedcrest Group, underscored the importance of financial expertise for everyone, regardless of profession or background.

“Everyone is an expert in their field, but there’s one field where we all need expertise, which is finance,” Amzat said. “Very industrious people often run into financial challenges, not because they are not smart, but because a single policy move, like a pronouncement by the Central Bank, can shake an entire industry.

“If you are an expert in your field, you can’t escape being a finance expert,” he said.

He further explained that the Zedcrest Wealth Academy is the result of over 15 months of ideation, development, and research, designed to help users build financial mastery at their own pace through their phones or computers without intimidation.

“We have built a user-friendly platform that helps anyone become an expert in finance, from the basics to advanced levels. This is part of our mission to empower households to save, invest, and ultimately build wealth,” Amzat added.

Ifeoluwakiishi Akintayo, Product Marketing Analyst at Zedcrest Wealth, provided a live walkthrough of the Wealth Academy’s interface, highlighting its interactive design and gamified features.

Users can take quizzes, earn coins, and exchange coins for vouchers or rewards as they progress through different modules. The app assesses users’ financial knowledge levels, ranging from beginner to intermediate to advanced, and curates lessons accordingly.

“The academy is a serious but fun product; it teaches key financial concepts like emergency funds, investment personas, and budgeting in a relatable and engaging way. You learn while you play, and you earn rewards while you learn,” he said.

Modules cover bite-sized lessons on topics such as savings, investments, risk tolerance, and personal finance management, using real-life analogies to make complex financial ideas easier to understand.

Ade Jinadu, Product Marketing Lead at Zedcrest Wealth, said the academy is part of a broader ecosystem designed to integrate learning, saving, and investing, all within one app.

“We built the platform to combine education with real-world action. You can learn in the academy, invest, and soon, even trade stocks, all within the same app,” he said.

Jinadu stated that not everyone likes talking to advisors; hence, this gives users the power to make informed decisions on their own.

Amzat, GMD of Zedcrest Group, noted that Zedcrest’s ultimate goal is to help Nigerians build financial resilience, increase the national savings rate, and promote wealth creation.

As part of the Academy’s launch, Zedcrest Wealth has also reintroduced its flagship financial literacy tournament, Money Titan 2.0. Running for four weeks from Friday, November 14th, 2025, the tournament challenges participants to test their financial knowledge through a series of fast-paced quizzes. This year, Money Titan is fully integrated with the Zedcrest Wealth Academy, allowing users to learn directly within the app and immediately apply their knowledge in the competition.

By combining structured learning with friendly competition in the Money Titan tournament, Zedcrest Wealth aims to deepen engagement, strengthen financial literacy, and inspire better money habits across its growing community.
