The Management of Atiba University Oyo, is pleased to formally announce the approval of several postgraduate programmes by the National Universities Commission (NUC). This landmark approval represents another significant milestone in the University’s steady growth, academic expansion, institutional consolidation and commitment to quality postgraduate education in Nigeria and globally.
The approved programmes span key disciplines across the social sciences, management sciences, humanities, computing, and health sciences, further strengthening Atiba University’s position as a centre of academic excellence.
The announcement was contained in a statement jointly issued by the Founder and President, James Adesokan Ojebode, PhD, JP, ALA (CSN), and the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sunday Olawale Okeniyi. The statement noted that the approval underscores the University’s consistent adherence to national regulatory standards and its commitment to delivering high-quality, globally competitive postgraduate education.

Speaking on the development, the Founder and President expressed gratitude to God and commended the NUC for its guidance and rigorous quality assurance process. He described the approval as a validation of the University’s founding vision to contribute meaningfully to national development through advanced manpower training, research, and innovation. He further reaffirmed Management’s sustained investment in infrastructure, faculty development, and academic resources to support quality postgraduate education.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor stated that the approval reflects the dedication, discipline, and collaborative efforts of the University’s academic and administrative teams. He assured stakeholders that Atiba University remains firmly committed to maintaining high academic standards, strengthening its research culture, and delivering all postgraduate programmes in line with global best practices.
The Vice-Chancellor added that the University would continue to expand its postgraduate offerings while fully complying with all NUC requirements and expectations.
