Nigerian Breweries Partners Foundation To Support 1,000 Students

Nigerian Breweries Plc has partnered with FATE Foundation to empower 1,000 Nigerian students under the Orange Corners Student Ambassadors Programme, an initiative supported by the Kingdom of the Netherlands.

The programme aims to promote entrepreneurship and provide networking opportunities for students in tertiary institutions. Selected student ambassadors are expected to encourage peers to consider entrepreneurship as a viable career path and to foster innovation within their institutions.

Under the partnership, Nigerian Breweries will support the empowerment of an additional 1,000 students, while FATE Foundation will manage programme implementation, including student mobilisation, coordination and delivery. The beneficiaries will be students aged 18 to 35 enrolled in tertiary institutions across Lagos, Ogun and Enugu states.

Speaking on the initiative, Corporate Affairs Director of Nigerian Breweries Plc, Uzodinma Odenigbo, said the partnership aligns with the company’s commitment to youth empowerment and entrepreneurship development.

He added that Nigerian Breweries has impacted 2,365 young Nigerians across 24 states and the Federal Capital Territory through its youth-focused initiatives.

Adenike Adeyemi, Executive Director of FATE Foundation, said the organisation was pleased to deepen its collaboration with Nigerian Breweries through the Orange Corners Programme. She noted that the partnership would extend the programme’s reach to more young Nigerians using the Orange Corners Student Ambassadors framework.

Adeyemi explained that FATE Foundation’s responsibilities include designing and delivering the training curriculum, managing student registration and participation, keeping beneficiary records, and coordinating logistics and technical support for effective programme execution.

The partnership is expected to strengthen youth entrepreneurship development by equipping students with relevant skills and providing them with exposure to build sustainable businesses and contribute to economic growth.
