EU in Nigeria Short Film Competition Application is open. The Zuma International Film Festival, in partnership with the Delegation of the European Union to Nigeria and ECOWAS, is pleased to announce the European Union Short Film Competition 2025.
European Union Short Film Competition for Nigerians Benefits
Winners of the competition will receive exciting cash prizes to support their creative journeys: Youth leadership development programs
Winner: N1.5 million
First Runner-Up: N750,000
Second Runner-Up: N500,000
In addition to the cash prizes, winners will gain visibility, networking opportunities, and recognition at the Zuma International Film Festival, one of Nigeria’s leading film festivals.
Requirements for European Union Short Film Competition for Nigerians
Open to all Nigerian youth between the ages of 20 and 35 years.
Entries must be original works created by the applicant(s).
Films must not exceed 3 minutes in length.

Make a short film of 1 to 3 minutes on the theme "Being A Nigerian Youth", and enter into the short film competition. The theme seeks to explore Storytelling for Life and Creative Journeys of Nigerian Youth in today's world.
