The United Nations Academic Impact and MCN proudly present the Millennium Fellowship. The Fellowship is a semester-long leadership development program on your campus to take your social impact to the next level. 

The program is specifically designed for undergraduates committed to advancing social impact and the Sustainable Development Goals. Fellows refine their leadership, build impactful projects, and connect with a global community of changemakers.

 

United Nations Academic Impact Millennium Fellowship Benefits

Millennium Fellowship is a free of cost program. There is no fee or charge for the students and universities. 

 

Requirements for United Nations Academic Impact Millennium Fellowship

Individual Eligibility

Be at least 18 years of age

Be an enrolled undergraduate student during the duration of the program (August- November 2026)

Have interest in social impact work

 

Campus Eligibility

Cohort Size

Each campus cohort must have at least 8 Millennium Fellows.

Competitive campuses have 15-20+.

Selection Process

Round 1

 

Round 1 is to get to know you and hear about your motivation for joining the program.

The application for this round is reviewed on a rolling basis. The Final Deadline to submit your Round 1 Application is April 30, 2026.

 

Round 2

Upon successful completion and passing of Round 1, applicants receive invite via email to complete their Round 2.

In this round, we ask for:

Social Impact Project details (It could be a project idea or an existing project you are working on).

Emotional Investment towards the cause.

Apply to be Campus Director (Optional).

One recommendation (academic/professional).

The Final Deadline to submit your Round 2 Application is April 30, 2026.
