The UNESCO-UNEVOC Skills in Action Photo Competition celebrates the transformative role of Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) in preparing young people with the skills needed for the future. This is your chance to capture inspiring moments that demonstrate how TVET contributes to innovation, inclusion, sustainability and youth employment.

In addition, winners will receive:

An official certificate.

Publication of their work on the UNESCO-UNEVOC Flickr account.

Promotion through UNESCO-UNEVOC's social media channels.

All submitted photographs become the property of UNESCO-UNEVOC and may be used in future publications, media campaigns and promotional materials.

 

Requirements for UNESCO Skills in Action Photo Competition

You are eligible to participate if:

You are at least 18 years old.

You are the owner or copyright holder of the submitted photograph(s).

 

Selection Process

Submissions will be evaluated based on:

Relevance to the competition theme

Originality and uniqueness

Creativity

Innovative communication of the message

The winners will be announced on UNESCO-UNEVOC's digital platforms.

How to Apply

Entries can focus on one or more of this year's categories. You are allowed to submit up to one (1) entry per category for a maximum of four (4) submissions.

Equity and inclusion

Show that skills development opportunities should be available to everyone regardless of gender, ethnicity, nationality, socio-economic status or disability.

Green skills and sustainability

Shine a spotlight on resource-efficient technologies, sustainable practices or green jobs.

Digital transformation and artificial intelligence

Capture images of young people engaged in coding, robotics, virtual reality or the use of AI tools.

Innovation and excellence

Highlight innovative training and skills that improve quality, productivity and efficiency.

 

Email your submissions to: [email protected] following the guidelines below.

Complete and sign the submission form. Make sure you fill in the category of your photo. 

In the email subject line, include your last name followed by "SAPC26 Submission" (e.g. Muller - SAPC26 Submission).

Attach the completed submission form and your photo submission(s) to the email.

If your files are too large to send by email, provide a link to a cloud storage platform. Please ensure the link is publicly accessible and does not require sign-in, permission requests, or additional access approvals.
