Three students of Methodist Boys High School, Omamogho Ajufuntsi, Fahm Aremu, and Ogunsola Oladimeji have emerged winner of the maiden edition of the ‘Olabode Mubasheer Agusto Educational Grant’.
The Grant, which covers a period of 3 years (SS1 to SS3), was established in honour of the life and legacy of Mr Olabode Mubasheee Agusto, who was an old boy of Methodist Boys High School and the founder of Agusto & Co.
In her remarks, the Managing Director, Agusto & Co, Mrs Yinka Adelekan said: “Today marks a day before the anniversary of the passing of the Founder of Agusto & Company Ltd, Mr Olabode Agusto, and the essence of launching an educational Grant in his honour is because we knew what he stood for in terms of education.
“Bode Agusto believed that education was the bedrock that would change our society, and today, we give back to his Alma-mata. We believe that his alma-mata was very important in the creation of who he became while he was on earth.
“Today, we are giving three beneficiaries, who are students of Methodist Boys High School, who, because of financial constraints or mishap in the family, are unable to continue the studentship of this school. What we have done is to provide the means for them to complete their education at the school. This is the first edition, and we will be running it for the next five years by sponsoring three students’ education every year through SS1 to SS3 for the next five years.”
