The 50 Percent Storytelling Fellowship 2026

An online, free, 10-week fellowship designed to develop communication, storytelling and advocacy skills among young people. Through guided discussions, mentorship and peer engagement, participants learn how to use their voices and craft impactful narratives.

This programme is open to young people passionate about making a difference in the world, including climate activists, advocates for social justice and members of social impact networks. We welcome individuals from diverse backgrounds who are eager to learn, share and grow within a supportive community; this fellowship is designed to amplify your voice, equip you with essential storytelling skills and connect you with a network of like-minded changemakers.

Programme Structure

Over 10 weeks, fellows move through four phases:

Foundations: Building trust within the cohort through dialogue practice, active listening and an introduction to systems awareness.

Narrative and identity: Exploring personal narrative, reframing “othering” into belonging and developing the language and assumptions that shape a story.

Storytelling craft: Producing a short video, a blog post and a social media carousel, with training in mobile filming, editing and social strategy, delivered by the Club of Rome’s communications team.

Peer teaching and public impact: Delivering a peer-led mini-lesson to the cohort, then applying everything learnt to two final stories.

The 50 Percent Storytelling Fellowship Benefits

A free 10-week fellowship.

Develop essential communication and advocacy skills alongside a network of like-minded changemakers.

Community building and self-empowerment.

Hands-on training in multimedia storytelling, including short-form video, blogwriting and social media content.

A unique journey focused on personal growth, meaningful connections and shaping your voice.

Each fellow will have the opportunity to:

Publish two final stories at the end of the programme, in the format of your choice: a reel, a blog post or a social media carousel.

Deliver a peer-led mini-lesson to the cohort, building confidence and facilitation skills alongside a fellow group of changemakers.

Join a community of changemakers and amplify your voice for a better world.
