Aptech and Middlesex University have given scholarships N621 million to support students.
Aptech, a leading institution in education and IT training, is partnering Middlesex University, London, to offer 76 students 50 percent scholarships as part of “Affordable International Degree Scheme.”
The initiative was unveiled during the 16th Aptech’s “Career Quest,” in partnership with Middlesex University London & Dubai. This year’s event, according to Aptech, exceeded expectations. Last year alone, about N362.7 million worth of scholarships were awarded.
The scholarships aims to reduce financial barriers and enable Nigerian students to pursue high-quality education. Aptech Career Quest featured a combination of career guidance, IT industry insight, seminars, and webinars hosted by industry experts.
This year’s event attracted a broader audience, with on-ground seminars in Lagos, Abuja, Calabar, and Abeokuta, as well as virtual webinars attended by over 510 participants.
Aptech partnered Middlesex to offer Advanced Diploma in Software Engineering (ADSE) and Aptech Certified Network Specialist (ACNS), allowing students to complete their final year abroad, earning a BSc at Middlesex.

Oluchi Nwambara, representative from Middlesex, noted the transformative power of education and the university’s commitment to supporting Nigerian students in achieving academic excellence.
With ICT contributing 16.66% to Nigeria’s real GDP in Q4 2023, the collaboration between Aptech and Middlesex University is timely, as it aims to equip students with the skills and qualifications needed to thrive in the growing tech-driven economy.
