Remita Payment Services Limited (RPSL) has expanded awareness efforts around its digital payment channels for the registration of the 2026 West African Examinations Council (WAEC) Second Series examinations as the registration window closes on July 31.

The firm stated that the move was part of its efforts to support examination registration through digital payment platforms and reduce challenges associated with the process.

It averred that its payment infrastructure has been used for examination registrations and other transactions across the country over the years.

It therefore encouraged candidates to purchase WAEC/GCE registration ePINs through its website, mobile application and authorised partner outlets across the country.

The firm, in a statement, noted that access remains crucial in expanding opportunities through digital services.

“In emerging economies, one of the greatest barriers to opportunity is often not talent, but access. When payment systems become simpler, faster and more inclusive, they do more than process transactions; they help keep ambition in motion,” it noted.

Head of Enterprise Assets at Remita, Mr. Chinedu Alisa restated the company’s commitment to providing digital payment infrastructure for users across different sectors.

“When people think about payment platforms, they often think about transactions. But behind many transactions are life-changing moments. For a student, a WAEC registration PIN can represent access to higher education, economic opportunity and a different future,” he said.

Alisa stated that the company’s infrastructure has supported examination registration and other services over the years, adding that access to digital platforms would continue to play a role in service delivery as digital adoption expands.

“At Remita, we are proud that our infrastructure has supported millions of Nigerians through critical moments over the years. As Africa continues to participate more actively in the global digital economy, enabling educational access at scale becomes not just important, but strategic,” he said.

He added that the platform also supports bulk purchases for schools, faith-based organisations, non-governmental organisations, local governments and other groups coordinating registrations for multiple candidates.
