The Orators is Nigeria’s premier public speaking competition, dedicated to nurturing the next generation of eloquent, visionary leaders. Tailored for young Nigerians aged 18 to 25, the program is designed to build the oratory, leadership and innovation skills of young leaders.

The Orators Program is a rigorous and immersive competition delves deep into the art of public speaking and effective leadership. Participants embark on their journey with a comprehensive selection process and online bootcamp, followed by an intense on-site where they are challenged to articulate their ideas, inspire their peers, and demonstrate their potential as future leaders.

Requirements for The Orators Speaking Competition

Must be a Nigerian citizen

Must be aged 18 at the time of application and not older than 25.

Must be currently enrolled in a university or college education or have graduated from a University/College.

Must be WILLING and ABLE to attend the "The Orators Academy" in the chosen location.

Must ADHERE to all Terms and Conditions of the Program

Selection Process

Timeline

Deadline: September 30th, 2024, Apply to Participate

October 1st - 16th, 2024 Our team will review and notify you if you are selected

October 21st - 26th, 2024 Pay N10,000 and Attend Orators Online Audition via Zoom

October 31st, 2024, Only the Top 30 will be invited as Semi-finalists

November 18th - 23rd, 2024 30 Semi-finalists attend Online Bootcamp and the top 12 finalists will be chosen

December 18th - 21st, 2024 Top 12 finalists attend the “Grand Finale” in Abuja. Accommodation, feeding and transportation support will be provided.

The Orators competition places a premium on holistic development. Contestants will be evaluated based on the following key criteria:

Coachability: Demonstrated willingness to learn and grow from feedback.

Research Rigor: Capacity to gather and analyze information effectively.

Clarity of Thought: Ability to articulate ideas clearly and logically.
