A Non-Governmental Organisation, Africa Bridge Initiative, has signed a five-year Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) with Bournemouth University, United Kingdom, to foster youth development through student exchange programmes, research collaborations, and international conferences.

Founder of Africa Bridge Initiative, Opeoluwa Taiwo announced the agreement during the Annual Youth Development Summit at the University of Lagos, organised in collaboration with the Faculty of Arts Alumni Association.

He said the partnership, officially launched on 13 February through a virtual event in Nigeria and the UK, aims to create opportunities for Nigerian students and researchers to access global resources at reduced costs.

Speaking on the initiative’s impact, Taiwo emphasised the direct benefits for students and researchers: “As of August 5 last year, we secured a five-year partnership agreement with Bournemouth University. This is a game-changer. We are now official partners, not just writing letters and hoping for collaborations. Nigerian students can participate in exchange programmes, access discounted tuition for master’s degrees, and researchers can tap into international academic resources.
