A student of Nnamdi Azikiwe University (UNIZIK), Awka, identified as Tochi Martins Attah has died after collapsing during a football match.
Reports obtained by News media revealed that the tragic incident occurred on the morning of Monday, July 7, 2025, at Elmada Hostel within the university environment.
The deceased, also known as T-funds, was a 300-level Microbiology student before he reportedly switched to a medical course.
The President of Useh Youths, Engr. Sabastine Aku, confirmed the incident in a statement.
He was the younger brother of Dr. Simon Attah, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Igbo-Etiti Local Government Area of Enugu State.
His sudden death shocked the university community and his hometown of Useh Village, where he was described as a promising young man.
