Maritime University Okerenkoko and University of Port Harcourt Get New Vice Chancellor and Acting Vice Chancellor Respectively

According to a document obtained from the Ministry of Education, President Muhammadu Buhari has appointed Professor Emmanuel Munakurogha Adigio, as the Vice Chancellor of the Nigerian Maritime University of Okerenkoko, effective June 11, 2020.

Expressing his commitment to transform the institution, Prof. Adigio hinted on his plan to move the school to a permanent site. He also revealed that the institution will partner with the University of Liverpool UK to fully establish Marine Engineering programme at the university.

The same document we obtained from the Federal Ministry of Education also revealed that Mr. President has also approved the appointment of Prof. Stephen Agochi Okodudu as the acting Vice-Chancellor of the University of Port Harcourt for a period of six months, effective June 13, 2020.
