ASUU has conditionally suspended its protracted strike, effective Thursday, December 24, 2020. The academic union has warned that it would resume strike if the federal government fails to honour its part of the agreement reached in the course of resolving the stike. The information reaching Boldscholar is that members of the union have been paid two months salary arrears. However, ASUU insists on being paid four months salary arrears, in addition to honouring other requests on its list.

More details will be revealed shortly.

The academic union has been on strike for over ten months to protest inclusion on the Integrated Payroll and Personnel Information System (IPPIS) and the failure of federal government to implement previous agreements reached between FG and the union.
