The countdown has begun to ignite creativity, collaboration and cutting-edge problem-solving skills as Cavista Technologies, a portfolio business of Cavista Holdings, announces the 4th edition of the Cavista Technologies Hackathon.

The event is scheduled to take place February 21 to 22, at the Welcome Centre Hotel, Ikeja, Lagos.

This highly anticipated event provides a dynamic platform for undergraduate students in tertiary institutions to collaborate, innovate, and build impactful solutions to real-world challenges.

The competition is open to undergraduates from tertiary institutions in Lagos and surrounding areas who possess tech skills and have a passion for problem-solving.

Participants will have the opportunity to showcase their creativity, technical expertise, and work as a team to develop real-world solutions that make a difference.

Interested students are encouraged to apply by visiting www.cavistatech.com/hackathon.

Applications will be screened and shortlisted candidates will form part of the teams that will participate in a 24-hour hackathon, spread over two days, with millions of naira in cash prizes for the winners and runners up.

Making the announcement, the General Manager, Cavista Technologies, Oyebola Morakinyo, reveals that the 2026 edition will surpass the last edition and is open to six tertiary intuitions in Lagos State and its environs.

“At Cavista Tech, our goal is to discover, empower and celebrate Nigeria’s tech talents by providing the platform where young tech innovators and enthusiasts can showcase their creative and problem-solving skills. Through this initiative, we foster collaboration, entrepreneurship and digital transformation”.

Morakinyo continues: “2025 edition was phenomenal but we promise you that the 2026 edition will be elevated, especially with the support we have from the Ministry of Youth Development and tech experts like Inyinoluwa Aboyeji, Co-Founder Andela and Future Africa, to mention a few, who will be present to cheer on and mentor the young problem hackers,” she concludes.

As a flagship initiative of Cavista Technologies, a global leader in software solutions and development services, the hackathon reflects the company’s commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing the next generation of tech talent.

Next year’s edition will run simultaneously, as usual, in our global offices in USA, India and Botswana, underscoring its global footprint.

Expected at the event are important personalities including the Minister of Youth Development, Hon. Ayodele Olawande, Co-Founder of Andela and Future Africa, Mr. Iyinoluwa Aboyeji, among other dignitaries and industry leaders.
