The initiative by the Federal Government to digitalize public schools and improve digital learning infrastructure is taking shape following the donation of 20 units of interactive boards by an indigenous technology firm, Wowbii Infrastructure.

The interactive boards were donated to the Unity Schools Old Students Association (USOSA) as part of efforts to advance technology-driven education and support institutions known for academic excellence.

The initiative also aligns with the Federal Government’s drive to modernise classrooms, promote the adoption of digital learning and strengthen institutional capacity across public schools.

The presentation of the equipment took place at the weekend in Lagos at the presence of members of the alumni leadership and other invited stakeholders.

Founder and Group Chief Executive Officer of Equipment Hall Limited and Wowbii Infrastructure, Gbolahan Olayomi, stressed the importance of supporting Nigeria’s Unity Colleges as he presented the equipment.

According to him, the colleges remain a critical component of Nigeria’s educational heritage and national integration framework.

“Supporting USOSA with modern interactive learning technology is a strategic contribution toward improving classroom delivery, enhancing student engagement and aligning our schools with global digital learning standards,” he said.

A statement made available to journalists in Port Harcourt on Sunday noted that the Unity Schools Old Students Association, under the leadership of its President-General, Mike Magaji, has continued to play an active role in the development and support of Federal Unity Colleges across the country.

The association, it added, works closely with partners and stakeholders to improve infrastructure, learning conditions and academic outcomes in the schools.

The firm also reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with the Federal Government, state governments and institutional partners to accelerate the adoption of interactive, hybrid and virtual learning technologies in schools, universities and training institutions nationwide.

The initiative, according to the firm, forms part of broader efforts to position Nigeria’s education system for global competitiveness through innovation and digital transformation.
