Applications are now open for the 2026 National Girls in ICT Competition. This competition is part of the Ministry’s broader commitment to closing the gender gap in ICT and ensuring more girls across Nigeria are equipped with the digital skills needed to thrive in the future economy.
The National Girls in ICT Programme is a team-based initiative empowering girls aged 10–16 (JS1–SS3) to develop innovative technology solutions addressing challenges in Agriculture, Education, or Health.
Federal Government National Girls in ICT Programme Benefits
Participants stand a chance to win exciting prizes including laptops, tablets, Raspberry Pi kits, Quarky robotics kits and more.
Selected teams will participate in structured training and mentorship sessions to build digital skills and confidence.
Requirements for Federal Government National Girls in ICT Programme
Applicant must be girls aged 10–16 (JS1–SS3)
School approval and parent/guardian consent are required.
Only one submission per team is allowed.
Ensure all information provided is accurate and complete.
