TecTerminal, a Nigerian Edtech company, has officially launched its nationwide ICT Upgrade Programme, starting with a partnership with Gordon’s School. The initiative aims to modernise school computer laboratories, enhance digital literacy, and improve students’ readiness for computer-based testing (CBT) across the country.

Under the partnership, Gordon’s School will see its existing computer laboratory upgraded with modern infrastructure, TecTerminal-branded laptops, and educational software tailored to enhance hands-on learning. The upgrades are designed to provide students with direct access to tools and resources essential for developing coding, robotics, and digital creativity skills.

“At TecTerminal, we believe that education is the foundation for national transformation,” said Nnedinma Obioha, CEO of TecTerminal. “This partnership with Gordon’s School represents more than just technology upgrades. It is about giving young Nigerians the tools to succeed in a digital economy, excel in computer-based testing, and dream beyond the classroom. Our curriculum ensures students not only graduate with WAEC certificates but also gain entry-level certifications in various digital fields.”

The programme also includes training for teachers to ensure that the new technology is effectively integrated into classroom instruction. According to Mr Willie, Chief Operating Officer at TecTerminal, the approach is both sustainable and scalable. “By manufacturing our own affordable laptops and pairing them with a tailored curriculum, schools can adopt solutions that meet their needs without prohibitive costs,” he said.

TecTerminal’s initiative aligns with Nigeria’s growing adoption of computer-based assessments, providing students with practical experience and confidence in digital environments. Beyond examinations, the programme emphasises creativity, innovation, and problem-solving, preparing students for future careers in technology.

The company is encouraging other schools across Nigeria to participate in similar partnerships, highlighting flexible and sustainable models that reduce the burden on parents and school administrators.

TecTerminal, known for its focus on bridging Africa’s digital skills gap, offers training in coding, cybersecurity, data analysis, and artificial intelligence, targeting youth and women to foster the next generation of tech talent across Nigeria.
