Chrisland University, Owode Abeokuta, Ogun State, had its first induction of the first set of nursing graduates recently at the institution’s auditorium.
The outgoing Vice-Chancellor of the university, Prof. Chinedum Babalola, commended the 22 Nursing Graduates for performing exceptionally well in their professional examination.
She noted that all parents and the general public should be rest assured that all courses in the institution were fully accredited.
As part of the activities for the general public, Engr. Umar Bindir, delivered a convocation lecture titled: “Nigeria, Strategies for a National Rebirth: Special Reference to a Triple Helix Innovation.”
Bindir stressed on the need for Nigeria to conduct more research on the Nigerian problem and convert tertiary institutions to incubation centres with cutting-edge skills in research technology.
He added that the 3 Helix Innovation Centres around the government, knowledge system and industry would result in the nation producing Nigerian goods and managed by Nigerians.
The event also featured Prof. Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar, Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, (JAMB), who was represented by Ms. Abiola Adekunle, the Head Servicom/Public Relations Unit.
