OVERVIEW

The Fellowship of the Academy consists of duly established scientists, technologists, innovators and inventors in Nigeria that are merit-based, independent, non-governmental, non-political and non-profit scientific organizations. Through its Fellows, AcIRSTD seeks to enhance collaboration and knowledge sharing among scientists, technologists, innovators and inventors by using evidence-based research to Nigerian development policy in the domains of social, natural and economic sciences.

WHO SHOULD APPLY?

Candidates must have made ‘a substantial contribution to the improvement of natural knowledge, including mathematics, engineering science and medical science’, etc. Each candidate is considered on his/her own merits and can be proposed from any sector of the scientific community. Every effort is made to encourage nominations of more diverse candidates and candidates from the emerging disciplines.

Fellows are elected from among active Nigerian scientists residing in Nigeria or elsewhere and who have attained the highest international standards and/or who have made significant contributions to the development and application of science, technology and innovation in Nigeria and the world at large.

Please, note that application form is N15, 000 nonrefundable while the induction, official academic gown fees are Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira only (N250, 000), payable in favour of the Academy of Innovative Research, Science & Technological Development: Zenith 1310944024.

The next election of Fellows will take place simultaneously with the National Conference on Innovative Trends in Technology and Development (NCITTD 2025) at the Nigerian Army Resource Centre, Mambilla Barracks Junction, Asokoro, Abuja, Nigeria, Nigeria on the 27th of February 2025.
