As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), the Bank of Industry (BOI) has built a 30-room three storey floor for accommodation of medical students of Nnamdi Azikiwe University Teaching Hospital (NAUTH), Nnewi Campus, Anambra State.

Each room in the 30-room block has three bedspaces, totally 90 bedspaces.

Unveiling and handing over the 30-room project on behalf of the Board and Management of the College, to the Vice Chancellor of NAU, Awka, Professor Stanley Anyaehhe, weekend, the Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of BOI, Dr. Olasupo Olusi, expressed gratitude that, after initial delay, the hostel completion was achieved.

Olusi, who was represented by the Executive Director of Large Enterprise, Mallam Omar Shekarau, observed that the project reflects a strong collaboration and continuity among the university leadership, the consultants, the contractors, and the BOI team whose discipline and commitment ensured timely completion.

He reiterated that the block would assist in supporting learning, strengthen healthcare services, and improve welfare for the students for whom it is meant for.

Olusi, who expressed the hope that “this building will contribute meaningfully to training the next generation of healthcare professionals, who will serve our nation.”

According to him, the project would as a matter of importance serve the students and medical trainees for whom it was intended.
