Binance Partners With AltSchool Africa To Offer Scholarships To 500 Young Africans In a significant move to bridge the digital skills gap in Africa, Binance, a prominent global cryptocurrency exchange and the continent’s leading platform, has announced a collaboration with AltSchool Africa.

This partnership will provide full-tuition scholarships for 500 aspiring young Africans from January to December 2025. The initiative aims to facilitate specialized education in vital fields such as software engineering, cybersecurity, sales, and content creation, thereby equipping learners with essential skills for today’s fast-paced job market.

The scholarships will allow participants to engage in structured programs at AltSchool Africa, which are designed to cultivate in-demand digital competencies and prepare African youth for success within the global digital economy. Recipients will also benefit from mentorship, career guidance, and practical training to solidify their foundations in their selected disciplines.

This collaboration is especially timely, as the International Finance Corporation (IFC) predicts that by 2030, there will be a demand for 230 million jobs in Sub-Saharan Africa requiring digital skills, yet only 2% of the current workforce possesses these essential capabilities. Through this scholarship program, Binance and AltSchool Africa aim to address this urgent need by providing young Africans with the expertise necessary for future employment in a digital economy.

Samantha Fuller, a spokesperson for Binance, expressed enthusiasm about this partnership, stating, “We are excited to provide opportunities that will help shape the future of many young students across the continent. Technology is a powerful tool for change, and we believe that by investing in education, we are investing in Africa’s future. Our goal is to empower students to become innovators and leaders in the tech industry.”

This scholarship initiative is part of Binance’s wider commitment to educational support across Africa, aiming to equip young individuals with skills crucial for thriving in the 4th Industrial Revolution. By leveraging its resources and platform, Binance continues to drive efforts for a more inclusive digital economy.

Eligible participants will have the opportunity to select from a variety of courses, including: Content Creation (6 Weeks, Certificate) Sales (6 Weeks, Certificate) Product Design (1 Year, Diploma) Product Marketing (1 Year, Diploma) Product Management (1 Year, Diploma) Data Analysis (1 Year, Diploma) Data Science (1 Year, Diploma) Data Engineering (1 Year, Diploma) Front-End Engineering (1 Year, Diploma) Back-End Engineering (1 Year, Diploma) Cloud Engineering (1 Year, Diploma) Cyber Security (1 Year, Diploma)

AltSchool Africa, an education platform dedicated to developing digital skills on the continent, is excited about this initiative. Nifemi Akinwamide, Head of Global Operations at AltSchool Africa, stated, “Through this partnership, we can reach more young Africans eager to establish careers in the digital economy, offering an array of diploma and short courses. We commend Binance for this fantastic initiative, which will make a meaningful impact on the lives of hundreds across the continent.”

The scholarships are designed not only to enhance local talent but also to create pathways for African students to seize global opportunities in high-demand sectors. As technology continues to expand at an unprecedented rate, this initiative positions students to compete in the international job market. It’s worth noting that the program will be available only to certain countries within Africa, with specific terms and conditions applied.
