The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has disowned an account claiming to represent it on twitter. This was made known on TVC News twitter page after several media organizations quoted the fake account as saying that students of federal universities should prepare to resume studies.
The ASUU fake account had twitted on Saturday November 14, “All Federal University students should prepare for resumption as we expect positive outcome from ASUU on Wednesday.”
Nevertheless, ASUU has indicated interest in finding a lasting solution to the protracted industrial action as it looks forward to engaging the federal government in yet another meeting this week.
Also, the Minister of Labour and Employment, Chris Ngige, has expressed optimism that the meeting the federal government will hold with the union on Wednesday will be fruitful.
