Anambra's first Lady Launches Free Computer Training for Students, Youths

Wife of Anambra State Governor, Dr Nonye Soludo, has announced a free one-month computer training programme designed to equip secondary school students and youths in the state with essential digital skills.

She says the programme, under her non-governmental movement, Healthy Living with Nonye Soludo Initiative, is part of the Initiative’s commitment to empower young people with practical skills that could improve their opportunities in an increasingly technology-driven world.

“The free training, which focuses on simple computer basics, is scheduled to begin on August 24, 2026, and will hold three times weekly at the Healthy Living Complex, No. 6, Road 13, Udoka Housing Estate, Awka.

“The exercise is open to secondary school students and young people who want to develop their foundational computer skills and gain confidence needed to participate more effectively in today’s digital economy.

“Access to digital skills is increasingly important for education, employment, entrepreneurship and personal development, making it necessary to expose young people to basic computer knowledge early.

“Participants are expected to undergo the training for one month, with classes held three times every week. Interested students and young people can register through the programme’s online registration portal,” she added.
